Queen Elizabeth National Park

Experience the medley of wonders...

The park is divided in two sectors. The northern sector, Mweya straddles the Equator, the studded valley framed by the Rwenzoris and the Kichwamba escarpment to the North and South, with Lakes George and Edward to the East and West. The variety of habitat in QENP provides a wealth of activities like the popular Kazinga Channel bird-lined launch cruise (the park has more than 600 bird species, more than any other park in East Africa, the intriguing explosion lake that offers panoramic views, guided hikes in Kyambura Gorge to provide a chance of spotting the Chimpanzees; and the Uganda Kob breeding grounds of Kasenyi plains which attract lions, Hyenas and Leopards offer more traditional wildlife viewing. To the south, the Ishasha sector is a wilder, more remote destination.

Far from the crowds, there are no gimmicks just plain old fashioned wilderness. Rolling plains are home to herds of Elephants, kob, local lion prides known as tree climbing lions.
