This itinerary allows you to experience the best of what Southern Uganda has to offer, from mountain gorillas in Bwindi Forest to chimps in Kibale National Park.

We have also chosen some of our favourite Ugandan properties, so that while you will be experiencing some of Africa’s finest wilderness, your journey will be extremely comfortable throughout. To enhance your experience in Uganda, you will be accompanied by your own personal driver/guide for the duration of your stay.

Day 1

Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda and overnight at Hotel No.5.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be met by a member of the Vuga Uganda team who will transfer you by road to your lodge.

Room Type: Standard Room    Meal Basis: Bed and Breakfast, plus Dinner

Day 2

Drive from Entebbe to Kibale for approximately 6 hours .

1 night @ Primates Lodge

Room Type: Safari Tent     Meal Basis: Full Board

Day 3

Encounter troops of chimpanzees in the shady forests of Kibale.

Depart before dawn and head to the Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for a full day’s visit to the chimpanzee habituation programme.

Another night @ Primates Lodge

Room Type: Safari Tent     Meal Basis: Full Board

Day 4 - 5

Drive southwards to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park - the drive time today is about 5 hours. You will stay at the stunning Buhoma Gorilla Lodge.

Day 6

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park by road for approximately 5 hours with your guide.

Night @ Mihingo Lodge

Room Type: Deluxe Room    Meal Basis: Full Board

Day 7

Embark on your journey back to Entebbe as you prepare for your flight

Drive back to the Airport for your departure flight.
