Jinja, Uganda’s second largest city, is situated on the northern shores of Africa’s largest lake in southern Uganda. It is famous for being the source of the Nile. Jinja is the white water rafting hub of East Africa due to the Nile’s rapids. It is also known as Uganda’s adventure city.Â
Though rafting down the Nile is definitely the main attraction, there are also a number of other adrenaline-filled activities available, including quad biking, bungee jumping, kayaking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Other common activities include browsing the vibrant Jinja market and admiring the faded grandeur of the decaying colonial architecture that lines the streets. This tour can be made to fit your specific interests.
Day 1
Depart Entebbe on a two to three hour drive To Jinja town. Night spent at the Haven Eco Lodge.
